Flame of Intimacy

Intimacy versus Institution

#~j~#

Intimacy and Institution cannot exist in the same time/space. If we are intimately engaged with another; lover, child, nature, etc. we are in the flow of a “now experience” – The same experience cannot be replicated
~
Institution is a construct – an assembly of conditions – which may facilitate an intimate experience, but it’s not the experience itself
~
When one releases into intimacy, constructs dissolve
~
Religion, education, Yoga, meditation, marriage, monogamy, polyamory, etc. – all are constructs of institution
~
Intimacy is what goes on within as the awareness of institutional constructs dissolve
~
I attended a Tantric-Puja gathering the other day – In the intimate moments between and during “exercises” nothing else exists – no studio, no contrived positions or conversations – a window into the inner-sanctum of the self opens and the firelight of existence flares
~
The institution of learning to understand child psychology is not the intimate act of understanding your child’s fears and delights

~
The construct of a Yoga posture is not the experience of Yoga – intimacy with Yoga is when, while in the posture itself, one’s focus is not even in the room
