Journeys and Journals
Civanté refers to himself as a “most fortunate man”. From early in his childhood he was taught to observe curiously and act kindly. His curious observations lead him to question his own existence and relationship to others.
Along his journey he studied Zen Buddhism in a small farmhouse Zendo in Texas, flavored his practice of meditation with a dash of Thich Nhat Hahn and a splash of J. Krishnamurti, obtained a Registered Yoga Teacher certification in Dallas, along with an Advanced Yoga Teacher certification from Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and a Healing Drum Therapy certification from Remo Drums.
Civanté has had the great fortune to study with several radiant souls including Richard Freeman and Eric Schiffmann and had a life-changing intensive with Faeq Biria – who was a devoted student of Iyengar Yoga, Guruji.
After co-producing a 200 hour Yoga teacher training program and leading international Yoga instructional workshops, Civanté took a sabbatical from teaching Yoga and co-founded Turning Life – A family owned and operated Sustainable Lifestyle company for which he was President and CEO until 2015 when he dissolved the company to shift his energy and focus on raising his two sons.
As a dedicated parent, Civanté believes; The best predictor of a child’s well-being is the parent’s self-understanding.
Being both a hardware and software design engineer and a Yoga professional has afforded Civanté the opportunity to integrate intellect with intuition in his private and business pursuits.
His focus is now directed to offering pioneers, professionals and practicitioners physical and virtual locations where they can take, train and teach coursework, workshops and events.
